College of Agriculture and Bioresources
July 8 to 14, 2017
Hort Week is an annual series of gardening workshops and horticulture events held every second week in July on the University of Saskatchewan campus. It's an opportunity to connect with like-minded gardening enthusiasts and pick up some new tips on how to keep your garden healthy and your yard beautiful. Workshops may be taken for personal interest or toward credit in the Master Gardener Certificate Program.
Typically, Hort Week includes:
- A Free Sunday Night Workshop sponsored by the City of Saskatoon
- Free Horticulture Tours around campus including the U of S Greenhouses, Walking tour of campus, Horticulture Test Plots, and Patterson Gardens
- More than 30 Workshops in various gardening and landscaping topics
- An Annual Book Sale
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced gardener, you’ll discover new ways to make your yard your happy place—whether you're gardening for food, bees, beauty or all of the above.
Please check back in May for details, as workshops will be announced then. In the mean time, check out last year's Hort Week program to get a sense of what Hort Week is all about.
